A TIMELINE OF MY WORK
TIMELINE
From being tiny, all I can remember is being enthralled in pop culture. A huge film fan from a young age, I could never make my mind up as to whether I wanted to be a writer, actor, director, jedi or wizard. I guess I still don't know

MY FIRST CAMERA
Childhood
FILM FANATIC
I finished high school and immediately went and made my first short film with two of my mates. It was called Peripetie and followed the story of a young boy who finds his own dead body in a field. There's some shoddy camera quality, some very questionable blood and a cool VFX shot provided to me by my dad! Although very rough around the edges, it was my first go at some visual storytelling and I'm pleased with the neat little circular narrative.

BACKSTAGE THEATRE
I got my first job at as an assistant stage manager at a Panto in Great Yarmouth. I found that I had a knack for it and also studied technical theatre following this. It was through working at theatres in Norfolk that I was able to learn how theatre companies operate and start working on my own.

LOCKDOWN
When lockdown happened, I had a renewed sense of the dream I had when I was little and when the world stopped, I found solace in writing. It was during lockdown that I wrote my first one-act-play, 'My Other Half' which followed the lives of two nameless characters in a relationship who miraculously swap bodies. It took the normal body-swap genre and gave it a crime thriller twist.

DYCP GRANT
I received the 'Developing your Creative Practice Grant' from the Arts Council in October 22. These options never felt right for me so this was an amazing opportunity to expand my skills in a different way. I worked with amazing teachers such as Scarlett Verey and Deobia Operai (Sex Education, Game Of Thrones)
